Suzanne Johnson


Suzanne Johnson is an American Artist based in Midwestern, U.S.A. Suzanne has exhibited widely as a Bronze Figurative Sculptor. Johnson’s sculptures are featured in private collections in America, Singapore, Thailand, and Portugal. Notably she has received numerous large scale bronze sculpture commissions. 



Trained abroad in ateliers in both France and Montreal in the old world method of sculpture. her knowledge of bone structure, tendon and muscle expanded, enabling her to clearly define the form beneath the skin. Sculpting has greatly influenced her methods of constructing her paintings. Her work embraces an earthiness, as if the figures themselves had emerged from soil to life. Suzanne a painter of poetic realism, melds the universal with the individual to reveal the essence of form and emotion.



Johnson’s Studio is a remodeled church, in Grand Blanc, Mi. She travels extensively throughout Asia and Europe with a second home located in Sri Lanka. The influence of international culture is evident in her work. Suzanne is a member of Allied Artists of America, International Sculpture Center, National Sculpture Society, Sculptors Society for the Public Arts, Portrait society of America.
