Suzanne Johnson is an American figurative sculptor/painter trained in a classical atelier in France. Nuanced emotions of inner resolve are embedded as a theme within her work. Suzanne’s artworks have been featured in numerous International galleries and group exhibitions, and in permanent collections in Singapore, France, Hong Kong/ China and Mexico and France. Her bronze sculptures range from life size busts to monumental figures. The following are recent Monumental commissions in their respective permanent collections: “ A Veteran”, Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial, Angel Fire NM, also The National Museum of Marine Corps., Quantico, Va. and The Bishop International Airport, “The Violinist”, Flint Institute of Music, “A Monument to Labor”, City of Flint Municipal Center, “Professor Bell”, Kettering University, Michigan, “Vivaldi’s Angels”, Monumental Bas Relief Stone Panels for the Chapel of Angels, Michigan. Suzanne is the recipient of the First Prize Award from Manhattan Arts International for the HerStory Exhibition. Johnson’s current commission is a life size bronze sculpture of “Major General George Owen Squire,WWI an inventor”. Johnson’s work was selected to be featured in the “Go Figure” article in Fine Art Connoisseur Nov/Dec 2020. Suzanne is a member of the National Sculpture Society, Sculptors Society for the Public Arts, The Portrait Society of America, and the Allied Artists of America and elected artist member of The American Artists Professional League.
